The
computer desk has definitely come a long way from it's inception,
just like the computer chair there are ample amounts of designs, sizes,
materials, and colors you can have. The basic design for the computer
desk will efficiently hold your computer monitor, tower, modem,
and have a slot for your keyboard. However that's just the beginning,
now there are rolling computer desks, complete work stations and even my
mothers favorite the computer desk armoire.
A lot of the same manufacturers that design and produce our favorite
computer chairs are also manufacturer our desks, including Hon, Global,
and Herman Miller. And just like with our computer chairs, we have the
affordable computer desks and the ultra luxurious, outrageously priced,
but oh so worth it pricier models. While the inexpensive computer desk
does come with some nice features and are usually handsomely designed,
they pale in comparison to the more expensive models. These higher
priced computer desks come in high end wood grains, feature stainless
steel trim and are big enough to satisfy even Donald Trump.
When it comes to choosing which computer desk is right for you, the same
principles that we use for our computer chair, we should use for our
desks. First and foremost figure out how much use your computer desk
will receive. If you don't intend to use it often, obviously a cheaper
model would be me more sensible, however if you are at your desk nine to
five the higher end model would probably suit you best. One thing that
differs with computer desks than with chairs is the design impact one
may have. Although computer chairs differ greatly in comfort and
durability, for the most part they all have the same visual impact.
However for a computer desk the design should definitely be a large part
of which one you decide to go with. You may chose a modern design,
country look, or even go with a traditional computer desk. It all
depends on the look of your home or office, but the design should weigh
greatly in your decision. So when deciding on your computer desk
remember to select one that compliments your home or office lifestyle.
